Independence Day Celebrations
It’s time for Independence Day celebrations! It’s a time to reflect on how our independence came about and to celebrate our great nation. It’s a time for Red, White and Blue, the smell of BBQ, flags flying and laughter of family and friends enjoying a three-day weekend! It’s a time for fireworks! Here is a rundown of Independence Day Celebrations in Austin and surrounding areas-Enjoy!
Tens of thousands of families will be decked out in red, white, and blue and heading down to Vic Mathias Shores this July 4th for an amazing event complete with a fireworks display over the city skyline backed by symphonic patriotic classics. The orchestra will perform at 8:30 p.m., followed by “mile-high” fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
A parade, fireworks, carnival rides, jalapeno pepper eating contest, Swifty Swine Pig Races, children’s games, Sam Bass Shootout, Movies in the Park and skydivers are all part of the City of Round Rock’s July Fourth Frontier Days Celebration. Independence Day festivities will begin with free watermelon at the Lakeview Pavilion in Old Settlers Park and include music from the Austin Symphonic Band. This event is free for the entire family.
Enjoy live music, inflatables, free watermelon, bingo, washer tournament, face painting, carnival games and rides and fireworks at dark. Concessions will be available. Admission is free.
The festivities include over 60 Arts and Craft booths, 20 Food vendors, Kiddie rides, Bounce Houses, games, Petting Zoo, Musical entertainment, and a “Hometown Parade”. The “Fabulous Fireworks Finale” will begin at dark. Admission is free to the event and is located at the San Gabriel Park.
The festival will take place on the south shore of the lake. Come enjoy live entertainment, food & drink trucks, watercraft rentals and even a children’s area (Free glow necklaces given while supplies last).
Enjoy food, vendor booths, family fun, live music by David Vincent with Danny B. Harvey at 4pm, The Sean Kendrick Band at 5:15pm, Bruce Robison at 6:30pm, and a free concert featuring Robert Earl Keen @ 8pm and more. Fireworks around 9:15pm.

The City of Kyle will be celebrating the 4th of July with a fireworks show launched from Plum Creek Golf Course. Free to the public and includes live music and fantastic viewing. Hot dogs and cold drinks will be sold under the large tent, along with other snacks.
