BOO AT THE AUSTIN ZOO
Every Friday and Saturday Night in October, 2017
Boo at the Zoo is a fun-filled evening for ghosts and goblins of any age. Wear a costume (no adult masks, please), ride the Haunted Train and explore the Haunted House. Plus, bring a picnic to enjoy in the Picnic Grove. The Zoo will be illuminated and decorated for the occasion, no need for flashlights.
AUSTIN SÉANCE: HALLOWEEN SERIES AT THE VORTEX

The Austin Séance returns to The Vortex, 2307 Manor Road, for the annual Halloween series. Albert and Jake will lead sittings beginning on Thursday, Oct. 19th, and continue through two weekends until Halloween night. As usual, we’ll be gathering in the Vortex Pony Shed, located in the courtyard.
FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX

International drivers will be in Austin this October to compete in the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas track. This event promises three days of racing, camping, live music events and more – including headlining performances by Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder for ticketholders.
HOUSE OF TORMENT

The horror adventure begins outside and on the grounds of the popular haunt location with an all new “dark carnival,” featuring a creepy freak show, and disturbing clowns roaming freely inside and outside of the property. Inside, three unprecedented haunt attractions will feature immersive movie-style sets, new advanced animatronics with 200 skilled actors, and fragrance pods and technological tricks, that play on all five senses. The highly anticipated “Blackout” night returns this year with a standing invitation for daring groups of friends to enter the attraction with no light to guide them other than a single glow stick.

Every weekend from September 23 – November 5, 2017, this farm in Bastrop will hold a Fall Festival & Corn Maze where the kids can get lost in a 4-acre corn maze, play in a frontier fort or climb on the giant shipwrecked sandbox. They also have a giant jumping pillow and a barrel train for the kids to ride. Enjoy live music, farm animals, and of course, pumpkins, too. Concessions sold onsite.

Elgin CHRISTmas Tree Farm’s mission in October is to provide families with an affordable opportunity to spend time together outside having fun. The premier event, the Pumpkin Hunt, includes a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden in the trees. After the Hunt, enjoy pumpkin decorating on the pavilion along with other activities and games. The Evergreen Farms authentic pumper fire truck will again be at the Pumpkin Hunt.

This Marble Falls farm offers The Harvest of Fall Fun, open from September 23 – November 5, 2017. Activities include hayrides, candy corn kid maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, face painting, flower picking, sand art, barrel train rides, bounce house, the Texas maze, and horse rides.

This Pumpkin Patch is open every-day from the last weekend in September through October. They will have pumpkins, squash, gourds, decorative corn and corn stalks. Free pumpkin painting is available with the purchase of a pumpkin. Families can also take a tour of the farm which includes feeding animals, milking a cow and a hay ride.
