This “city within a city” was founded in 1908 by William Wright Baldwin, president of the South End Land Company, to serve as a residential neighborhood and agricultural trading center. With its mix of styles and prices, homeowners enjoy living near the Galleria, Medical Center and downtown Houston. It’s known for its parks, recreation centers, award-winning schools and small-town charm.
